Don't worry, audit will see it. While I'm sure he'll appreciate the thanks, he'd also be the first to turn you into a crispy critter for the "my first" post.

One other thing you might wish to remember: while no one here will fault you for the occational typographical error, you'll certainly attract flames for continued misspellings, lack of capitalization, and improper punctuation.

Let them flame i could care less. My typing in no way reflects anything about me. If they have all the time in the world to post whore and nit pick things of this nature then they need to get a life.

4. Spamming, Power posting, and Advertising
Only post if you have something valuable to add to the ongoing conversation. Refrain from posting only a short, meaningless sentence or only one emote/smiley. Also, avoid posting messages solely to get people to visit an external link (such as a personal website), especially if you are a new user to this forum. Spamming/power posting includes bumping up old topics without adding new and substantial content to them. It also includes posting the same text multiple times in a row. Power posting also covers the 'me too' posts. 'Me too' posts are when users simply reply to a message with 'me too' or 'yes' or something similarly inane. Also, instead of posting additions / corrections to a new post of yours separately, please use the edit button instead. Refrain from posting advertisement of any form (commercial or non-commercial) if it is not related to an ongoing discussion.

This is a quote from those rules you so pointed out. So why do you let them flame? When it clearly goes against these so called "rules".

Dude, you said you could care less. So why are you lawyer-ing this thing to death? Just drop it already. It's not that big of a deal.

Aha! A street lawyer!

Back when I was on patrol, people like you used talk themselves out of a warning and right into an appearence before a judge. Some things never change.

<smiles ruefully, shakes head>

If you search, is the word "flame" is not mentioned in the rules.

Look, this is an attempt to get you to understand how things work here. If you are going to stick around, then you have to know what is and what isn't accepted.

You may want to reconsider that line of thought. Poor spelling and a general poor use of the dominant language used in most forums will have a very negative impact on the poster. And it is just rude to expect someone to attempt to decipher such rubbish to answer your question.

1. You look like a moron
2. You look lazy
3. Lack of respect for your intended audience
4. You may not be taken seriously
...

So if not for youself at least do it for the other forum users

Since this was directed at me, I guess I should respond. Thanks for the props. :)

Now as Thorn and others have said, I'll be the first to have a CAJUN audit style BBQ for posts like this but since I'm dead beat, missing more alcohol, tired, etc. I'll let this one slide.

For future references for you and anyone else, if you'd like to thank someone, PM them. It will go a long way and keep peace on these forums.
