Traffic generator

Does anybody know of a program to generate traffic on a network from the outside?

similar to aireplay

Questions:

#1 : why?

#2 : Specs for it to run on? You have this in the Pocket PC section so I'm assuming that you want it to run on a PPC?

#3 : Answer to #2 since PPC's have quite a few different platforms.

#4 : Some specifications for what you need would be even better. TCP? UDP? What kind of traffic do you need?

1 - im doing this for fun on my home network and my new toy is the ipaq :)
2,3 - i would run it on an ipaq hx2495
4 - im not sure exactly...i think i have to inject packets of some sort and capture the packets in a log

Since you don't understand how to provide specs, I'll just say this: google is your friend. You'll need to figure out what kind of packet injection you need, and then look at what specs your ipaq has and then google to see what will run on it.

need to inject arp packets

i was looking around google and found "nemisis" which is a packet injection tool for linux, and one guy got it to run on his zaurus..but still no luck for windows mobile

While you're out looking, you might try reading the Welcome Desk, and do a search for your obviously missing SHIFT key.

And, why do you need to inject ARP packets? Are you trying a MITM attack?

I'm trying to crack the wep key by gather enough info and then being able to decrypt it

is that what a frame generator does?

I think you had better do some research on basic networking, as what you've been posting is indicative that you lack the knowledge needed before tackling wireless.
