I suggest the Sticky, Frequently Asked Glossary, be moved to the Welcome or Newby forums and possibly renamed. I also request that the acronyms "SOM" and "FZ" be added to the list. It took me hours of searching these forums to find the meaning of SOM after finding the acronym had 26.4 million entries in Google. Acronymfinder.com does not have the definition as used in discussions on antenna locating.

What would moving that solve?

It doesn't matter what it would solve, that's the way he wants it!

I do agree that if there are acronyms not in the glossary, they should be added. But I just don't see the point in moving it to the Welcome desk.

Experts like y'all use unfamiliar, sometimes undefined, acronyms many times in posts to folks that are new to this activity. They should be reading both of those forums prior to posting their questions. Moving the glossary would [should] expose them to the terminology used to answer their questions without wasting their time. You don't want your time wasted, they should be given the same courtesy.

FZ and SOM are now added.

I have no problem adding terms to the Glossary, but it's in the FAQs for a reason. Moving it to the Welcome Desk wouldn't serve any real purpose. We have enough problems with people not even reading that area for the basic rules and such. Adding items like the Glossary to the Welcome Desk are would just muddy the waters as to what is introductory to the Forums and want is the "nuts and bolts" content. That type of thing will stay grouped with related items in the FAQs.

Thanks for adding them and considering my suggestion.
