i have order one just becaus im getting sick worrying about killing my wavelan card when i leave it in the laptop "snap... oh crap" or loseing it when i take it out... i dont have it yet but i think that it is a prism card... it says on its websit that it will auto connect to a a network when it sees one .... is that saying that it will seach for a name and reconfig its self or dose it just act like every other card in the world and they have good marketing people?

Hey, guys, great news.
According to a press release by intersil (the company
that designed the prism II chipset), 3com does actually
use a prism2 architecture. But it seems they just swichtched
chipsets, so the new card with xjack antanna seems to be the
only one. Anyway, I just found my perfect wlan card...

After a while that XJack antenna doesn't latch in the retracted position - if you fear breaking a wavelan card - it'll probably happen with the XJack.

Hi,

Did you ever get the 3Com XJack card to work with Net Stumbler? I have one also, love it, but Nte Stumbler does not recognize the card.

Thanks!

If I were ya'll I wouldn't touch these things.....

Friend of mine picked up 5 of these things for his mobile office users.
ALL of them were broke within 4 days...

This is the fastest B2B (tm) "Box to Broke" I have ever seen...

The Antt. are POS

LOL

I just downloaded the latest and still no luck.

Anyone else have any suggestions? This is the only forum that has responded to my question.

Does the card show up under "Devices" in NetStumbler? Do you have the most current drivers for your card?
