For actually putting the icons on a map,
Microsoft Mappoint 2002
US/Canada or Europe versions, your choice.

I use MapInfo and add the APs manually, because as far as I'm aware there isn't currently a way to import the data NS exports, but it ends up becoming a pain in the ass if there are lot of APs you want to keep track of.

I use Mappoint 2002 as well. (A GPS is definately recommended if in budget -$100 and up but well worth it!)
With a GPS:
In NS you can export your info into a summary file and the program Stumbleverter will plot all your APs on the map for you automatically. This saves oh so much time.

You see? We really do need a forum to discuss mapping applications!

Deluo GPS
MS Maps and streets 2003
Streetstumbler to do the conversion from S&T
Worked the first time, and every time!
