Hi I am New to the forums and have used netstumbler on my laptop in the past. I cant get the Wifi to work on my Ipaq 6365 PDA Phone. The gps is a bluetooth one and seems to work fine. its just the wifi that is not available. Its a Standard built in part of the PDA.

Any idea if it will include this Mobile PDA Card in the future.

The only information i can find is in the HP asset Viewer.
Hardware Revision :W1.3
Firmware Version : 01.10.07i
Driver Version 2.00.49.63
Software Version 2.2.0.0
HP IPAQ WLAN Wireless Adapter

The system is Windows Mobile 2003

I hope it will be able to be resolved. please post if you have any ideas.

Thanks Peter

I love the software. I will be making a donation at some point in the future but have not got a lot of cash at hand.

Adn sorry i posted this in a different area first.

Same thing for me
i noted that the chipset for the wifi builtin card is Maxon Radio 5.0
Driver Version
2.0.53 (NDIS 5.0)
EEPROM Version
5.0 Maxim Radio

may be it could help Marius to find a fix...

Q8. When will you support wireless card / device X? When will you add new feature Y that I want?
A8. I work on this in my spare time. I can make no commitment to dates for new features or bug fixes. If you would like to help me support a particular piece of hardware, please consider sending me a sample rather than complaining that it isn't supported.

How about considering implementing an open hardware abstraction layer such as the NDIS implementation, which would enable other programmers to work on drivers for the card without having to resort to you as the chief bottleneck of future development of this utility?

Of course you could also just choose to continue whacking people in the head every time they stick their neck out in the forums as many of you seasoned users seem to like doing. That's hardly a constructive way for a community to move forward and it's certainly the reason why I've never bothered to stick around and contribute in the longer term.

If you'd bother to read through the information provided, you would see that the reason is plainly stated: Several NDAs prevent this from happening.

The people who get whacked here, are those morons who don't bother to read the available information and then ask "inquisitive idiot" questions. Those people who bother to actually read things such as the FAQs and README and ask informed questions always get constructive answers in return.
