Ministumbler Ns1 File Format different then NetStumbler

I just wanted to let everyone know that at this time Ministumbler ns1 File format is not compatible with my programs. It appears to be formatted differently,

It appears this is a auto-conversion issue when transfer the file from the mobile device to the computer as the nulls are not present when the file is viewed with a Hex editor on the mobile device

I've noticed that there 3 extra bytes before the SSIDLength and each character of the SSID is seperated by a Null. This is as far as I have investigated this issue.

Netstumbler will read the ministumbler file and if you save the fill in Netstumbler it will change the format to the format provided on Marius' website.

Fix/Work Around
To prevent the nulls and conversion of the file do the following:
Open ActiveSync
Select Options
Click on the Rules Tab
Click on the Conversion Settings Button
Uncheck Convert files when synchronized, copied or moved.
This will prevent the addition of Nulls

I am using an Axim X30 High, with Activesync 3.8.0.

I tried the workaround posted above, but I still can't get the file loaded into Netstumbler. I have also tried copying the file directly off an SD card with a card reader. This had the same result. Is there a utility anywhere that I can download to do a conversion, or anything else I can try?

My PDA is much better for stumbling than my laptop, it seems to pick up everything. I came across http://blog.lotas-smartman.net/archive/2006/01/03/12249.aspx this, which is really cool.

Any help would greatly appreciated.

Points to signature. Failing that send me the file and I'll look into it.

I tried the recovery utility listed in your signature, but I only tried it on one machine, an IBM Thinkpad T30 with XP Pro SP2 and all updates. It seemed to hang my machine up. I have access to a number of computers, so I'll give it another go on another machine. I can also borrow an Axim X50, so I'll give it a try with that when I can borrow it.

Last night, I also tried to export the file on a different computer with a different version of Activesync (not sure of the version), but the result was the same.

I'll experiment some more with your utility. I appreciate your quick response. :)

Thanks again.
