Is support for Windows Mobile 5 on the road map?

Also, the wireless card is in a Symbol barcode scanner. Not sure if it was supported, but I thought I'd ask. Thanks!

New releases come out when the author, Marius, decides to make a new release. They include whatever equipment he's had available. If you want a specific card or in your case a specific card and OS, then you should send him both a Win Mobile 5 device and a Photon card. He will return both to you when he's done with them. Details are available on his site: http://www.stumbler.net

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, work probably won't let me ship a scanner to him. :( Maybe if I'm unbelievablely lucky someone else will ship him one... :)

Okay, I have to ask. Why would you want to run ministumbler on a bar code scanner??

I'm kind of the first line of troubleshooting on these PDA barcode scanners if they start having problems on our manufacturing floor. It would be nice to pull something like Ministumbler up to compare the signal with other SSID's in the area, or if i'm standing behind a large metal machine, or in a place we didn't think an operator would take the scanner, etc. A quick check like this could significantly decrease the troubleshooting time for common problems.

One of my clients has these. They're basically a PDA with an industrial case and barcode scanner. Pretty neat. What erked me was it's a standard WM5 load which means Solitare and IE and what not is all on there. Just what you need is an operator playing Solitare on the barcode scanner.

BTW, Ministumbler on the WM5 is iffy due to firmware and drivers, but there are other wireless programs built for WM5 out there.

You could try WiFiFoFum.
It´s free for personal use but maybe your company should make a donation?

There isn't one. Figure out your issues somewhere else.
