I have an HP Jornada 680 running Windows CE and I have a Proxim Orinoco Gold 802.11b PC Card and Proxim driver. It sees networks but won't pull an IP from DHCP.

Can NetStumbler help figure out and solve the problem and what version do I need?

D.

You might want to ask the net admin. They can usually help diagnose DHCP issues.

The net admin of the network you want to use? I guess only you would know that.

If all else fails and you reside in the US you can reach almost any net admin here.

You don't know who the administrator is on your network?

EDIT: According to your information, YOU are the owner and administrator of your network.

I thought you meant the net admin for this site. It's a Wi-Fi hotspot. I doubt they have a network admin other than a support guy in Dayton, OH (It's harborlink in this case).

Most hotspots have information cards, although they tend to be sparce on technical details. Have you confirmed that DHCP working on your own WLAN?

Also, some hotspots don't support handheld operating systems.

Jornada 680 is a SH3 processor with a WinCE 2.12 operating system, pocketdhcp is for the 2002 operating system and it does not work on 2.12.
I have the same problem with both NE2000 NIC and WPC11 Wi-fi card.
