Eye-Fi memory cards: wireless photo and video uploads straight from your camera to your computer & the web.

Just got one for my camera works pretty slick. Now I'm curious...

Anyone done any messin' with one of these?

For it's intended purpose is it awesome! I initially got it configured and walked around my house shooting random picture about 40 in all. When I got back in to the laptop almost all were on the laptop. The range is listed as "The wireless range of your Eye-Fi Card for photo and video uploads is listed as 45 feet indoors and 90 feet outdoors. These values are under ideal conditions..." But I just went out into the shop here at work (70ish feet) and it transferred all the picture I took out there while I was BS'n with our worker bees. There were two walls and and assortment of other RF scattering debris between me and my wireless router. Now I gotta buy another one to play with...

Supposedly there's a new model that will upload to the ftp server of your choice. I'd have to get an adapter if I were to get one. My camera uses compact flash.

yeah, TOFTT .... if it can offer connectivity and is easy to configure, that can open up alot of uses for items.
