New Prism2/2.5/3 station firmware

Postby spec » Fri Jun 10, 2005 6:09 am

Station firmware is now 1.8.4 ver.

http://www.red-bean.com/~proski/firmware/1.8.4.tar.gz

sfxxxxxx file is flashable version.

Primary firmware is updated too, but not pkxxxxxx version.

http://www.red-bean.com/~proski/firmware/primary.tar.gz

Flashing work with flash.exe in DOS mode, with Winupdate 0.70 in Win2K/XP or with prism2_srec (hostap) / prism2dl (wlan-ng).

I updated my Z-Com XI626, D-Link DWL520 E.1 and Netgear MA311 cards to 1.1.1 primary + 1.8.4 station with no problems.

Judging from the Domain, I would say these are not coming from the main Intersil site, and since I believe Intersil now charges for their new drivers, this site is distributing them illegally. You do realize that if this true, this forum does not tolerate such activity.

Didn't you know? Any company that's worth it weight in gold has a Slovakian distribution website.

thanks to this thread. I'd not thought of searching for generic prism drivers for my MA311. the last drivers netgear have for them are from late 2002 or something ridiculously old like that.

It's really quite annoying how much maturer a product can become with newer drivers.

was the ones you can download here the last release by intersil for the prism chipsets?
